Viscera is the name for the organs of the body. Really, the manipulation is of the connective tissues (fascia) around the organs and not the organs themselves.
This technique was developed by Jean-Pierre Barral. The basic principle is to find where the greatest tension is in the fascia of your body and then help you to release it. The body naturally rotates about this area of greatest tension, often causing chronic symptoms in a completely different part of it.
Visceral Manipulation is especially indicated after surgery or
infections but is effective for chronic pain, menstrual pain, digestive
disorders and any physical or emotional symptoms you may have.
